Job Description CDM Smith is a major partner for various projects related to the long term-recovery for damages resulting from Superstorm Sandy. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Public Assistance program which supports recovery operations for disaster-damaged residential areas.
Provide disaster recovery services including markup inspection reports with detailed room measurements, analyze inspection report and enter relevant information into the estimating data base system, examine photographs of homes and file and code them, run quantity and measurement reports for homes, and examine inspection packets for completion.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a construction field office environment. Previous experience with Xactimate required.
Prior FEMA or HUD Public Assistance disaster response and recovery experience is strongly desired.
Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours; commit to assignments in remote locations and disaster conditions.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must have excellent communication skills and be experienced in the Microsoft Office product suite. The initial work for these projects can be 10-12 hours per day, 6-7 days per week.
